You Deserve to Feel Like Yourself Again

You wake up already behind. The mental noise starts before your feet hit the floor.

You snap at your kids over something small, and the guilt hits immediately. "I sound just like my dad."

You reach for a drink—or two, or three—desperate for relief. Not because you want to, but because you need to escape the feeling that you're not in control of your own life anymore.

The worst part isn't even the drinking. It's the guilt that follows. The crushing awareness that you're watching your life happen TO you instead of living it.

You're disconnected. From your kids. From your partner. From any sense that you're steering this ship.

You don't want to repeat the cycle you grew up in. But you don't know how to break it.

You want to be present. You want to be the dad who actually shows up.

But right now? You just want relief from feeling trapped in your own skin.

There's Another Way

Three years ago, I was drowning.

Anxiety consumed me. Alcohol was my escape—not to quiet my mind, but to get relief from the crushing feeling that I wasn't in control of my own destiny. Every drink came with guilt. Every morning came with the same question: "Is this just who I am now?"

I didn't want my kids growing up with the same dad I had—checked out, reactive, unreachable.

Something had to change.

I tried willpower. I tried "just relaxing." I read all the books. Nothing stuck.

What actually changed everything? I finally sat still long enough.

Guitar. Breathwork. Meditation. Not as tasks to check off. But as a way to finally stop running from myself.

And here's what nobody tells you: When you sit still long enough, you start to see things.

Synchronicities. Small miracles. Signs that you're on the right path. It sounds crazy until it happens to you. But when you stop numbing and start paying attention, life starts showing up differently.

That gave me more motivation than any self-help book ever did. It was proof—real, tangible proof—that I was doing the right thing.

Today, I'm anxiety-free. Alcohol-free. I sleep through the night. I'm in control of my life. I'm the dad I always wanted to be.

And yes, I got help. Therapy. Support. People who understood. There's no shame in that—it's actually what made everything else possible.

But here's something nobody talks about: I'm doing this largely on my own.

My wife still drinks. My dad still drinks. Both sides of my family—sometimes heavily. They say they're supportive, and maybe they are in their own way. But I'm surrounded by the very thing I walked away from.

And I'm solid. Grounded. Calm in my decision. At peace.

You don't need perfect circumstances. You don't need everyone around you to change. You just need YOUR practice to be strong enough that you can stand in it, no matter what's happening around you.

The daily practice that gives me that strength?

10 minutes with a guitar and intentional breathing.

That's what I want to share with you.

Introducing the 7-Day Regulation Reset: Guitar + Breath for Men Who Can't Sit Still

This isn't about becoming a great guitarist (though you might surprise yourself).

This is about reconnecting with yourself through music & breathwork (box breathing and rhythm breathing).

When you sit down with a guitar and focus on your breath, something shifts. The noise quiets. Your nervous system settles. You remember what it feels like to just... be.

It's meditative without feeling like meditation. It's creative without pressure to be "good." It's 10 minutes where you're not managing, fixing, or performing—you're just making sound and breathing.

Over 7 days, you'll learn:

  • Box breathing technique — The method used by Navy SEALs to calm the nervous system in 90 seconds (I use this every single day)
  • 3 simple guitar chords — Easy to learn, beautiful to play, powerful enough to shift your entire state
  • The Morning Anchor Routine — How to start your day grounded instead of already spiraling
  • Mindful strumming practice — The rhythm that quiets racing thoughts and drops you into the present moment

You don't need to be musical. You just need to be willing.

If you've ever felt anything when hearing a song, you're musical enough.

"In 7 days, you'll have a tool you can trust when you're about to lose your shit—and it won't feel like meditation, therapy, or another thing you 'should' do. It'll just work."

Important: Let's Be Real

This is not therapy. This is not medical treatment. This is not a cure.

I'm sharing what worked for me—what continues to work for me every single day. But I'm not a doctor or therapist.

If you're struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, or any mental health issue: please get professional help. I did. Therapy, support groups, people who understood—that was crucial for me.

There is zero shame in asking for help. In fact, it's one of the bravest things you can do.

What I'm offering here is a daily practice that supports your overall wellbeing. Think of it as a tool in your toolkit, not the only tool.

This Is For You If:

  • You love music (even if you've never played an instrument)
  • You're tired of anxiety controlling your life
  • You're looking for a real alternative to alcohol or other unhealthy coping mechanisms
  • You want to break the cycle and be the dad/partner/man you know you can be
  • You're willing to give yourself 10 minutes a day

This Is NOT For You If:

  • You're looking for a magic fix without any effort
  • You're not open to trying something new
  • You're content with how things are

Why Trust Me?

Because I live this. Every single day.

For almost 3 years now, I've been anxiety-free and alcohol-free. Not because I'm special or have iron willpower.

Because I found a practice that works. And I show up for it.

I'm a musician at heart. Music has always been my language, my therapy, my way of processing the world. Now I get to share that with people who need it.

Check out my YouTube channel (Tune Into Wellness), my website (jakepaulmusic.com), my story. See if what I'm doing resonates with you. Then decide.

From a former United States Marine:

"I've been using your course and so far I do see a difference.  I really like being able to focus on breathwork...apparently I really need that, haha!"

"...having the guitar at the same time is almost like a little brain teaser at first, but it helps to focus my mind right."
